Ο Δρ. Παντίδας είναι πτυχιούχος στην Ηλεκτρονική Μηχανική. Έχει σπουδάσει στο University of Liverpoll στην Μεγάλη Βρετανία και κατέχει Master of Engineering στα Μικρο-ηλεκτρονικά Συστήματα και τις Τηλεπικοινωνίες συμμετέχοντας σε ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα για την Airbus και την Flight Refueling LTD. Το Διδακτορικό του είναι στη Μηχανική Μικροκυμάτων, το οποίο χρηματοδοτήθηκε από τη βρετανική κυβέρνηση. Έχει επίσης εργαστεί μέχρι το 2005 για το Univeristy of Liverpool ως ερευνητής σε διάφορους τομείς Ηλεκτρονικής Μηχανικής και Πληροφορικής για τη Βρετανική Κυβέρνηση και το ΝΑΤΟ. Έχει επίσης δημοσιεύσει αρκετές ερευνητικές εργασίες σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά και παρουσίασε πλήθος εργασιών του σε διεθνή συνέδρια ενώ είναι συγγραφέας ενός βιβλίου σχετικά με την πρόοδο στην επιστήμη του πλάσματος. Το 2007 έλαβε ειδική αναγνώριση του Κογκρέσου από τη Βουλή των Αντιπροσώπων των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών για τη διδασκαλία της Επιστήμης και της Μηχανικής στις νέες γενιές. Σήμερα, υπεύθυνος του τμήματος Μηχανικών και Πληροφορικής στο New York College και η εξειδίκευσή του επικεντρώνεται στην Ηλεκτρονική Μηχανική (Ψηφιακή Ηλεκτρονική, Μικροβιομηχανική, Μικροεπεξεργαστές) και Πληροφορική (Ανάπτυξη Ιστού, Βάσεις Δεδομένων και Μηχανική και Ασφάλεια Διαδικτύου).
Dr Pantidas has graduated from the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus with a Major on Electronic Engineering. He has studied in the University of Liverpool in England and was awarded a Master of Engineering in Microelectronic Systems and Telecommunications, with aresearch project for Airbus and Flight Refueling LTD and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Microwave Engineering, Plasma Science and Scientific Computing in 2003, funded by the British Government. He has also worked until 2005 for the University of Liverpool as a Senior ResearchFellow in various areas of Electronic Engineering and Computing for the British Government and NATO. He has also published seven research papers in Scientific Journals and presented scientific work in eight International Conferences worldwide and co-authored a book concerning the advances in plasma science. In 2007 he received a special Congressional Recognition from the United States House of Representatives for teaching Science and Engineering to the young generations. He has also taught web design, databases and graphics design in theUniversity of Liverpool Continuous Education Scheme. Currently, he is the Associate Dean of Engineering and Informatics in New York College and his expertise focuses on Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics, Microwave Engineering, Microprocessors) and Computing (WebDevelopment, Databases and Internet Engineering and Security).
